Travis Lee is an Associate at GableGotwals, where his practice focuses on environmental and natural resources, energy, oil and gas, and regulatory compliance matters.
Travis’ experience includes, but is not limited to, matters involving the Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Endangered Species Act (ESA), Migratory Bird Treaty Act (MBTA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), as well as Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and various states’ regulatory equivalents.
He has nearly 20 years of industry experience advising companies on complex air and water quality permitting and compliance matters, environmental due diligence, NEPA assessments, OSHA compliance, regulatory inspections, and evolving federal and state environmental requirements.
Prior to joining the Firm, Travis served in senior environmental and regulatory roles with prominent energy companies and environmental consulting firms, where he collaborated with legal, engineering, commercial, and operations teams to address complex environmental and operational challenges.
His experience includes developing and implementing environmental permitting and compliance programs for upstream, midstream, and energy infrastructure operations across multiple states, advising clients during regulatory inspections and acquisition due diligence efforts, leading environmental, health, and safety audits, identifying and delineating Waters of the United States, performing endangered species evaluations and impact determinations, preparing and delivering environmental and regulatory compliance training, and conducting legal research and preparing internal memoranda addressing matters involving the EPA, FERC, OSHA, PHMSA, USACE, and USFWS.
