Michael C. Duke

Profile

Michael Duke is a transactional associate at GableGotwals, where he previously worked as a summer associate. His practice focuses on general corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and corporate securities.

Prior to joining the Firm, Michael was a legal extern for The Williams Companies in Tulsa, where he researched natural gas marketing, employment, healthcare, and political action committees. Michael also externed with TTCU Federal Credit Union, where he reviewed commercial purchase contracts, master service agreements, and software sales agreements.

At The University of Tulsa College of Law, Michael served as business manager for the Tulsa Law Review, and was a member of the Business Law Society and the Resources, Energy, and Environmental Law Society. His article, The NCAA and the AAU: Reunited At Last in Amateur Sports Exile, was published in the Tulsa Law Review in 2023.  Michael received the CALI award for outstanding student in Decedents, Estates and Trusts.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Michael was an engineer for Apache Corporation. At Apache, he worked as a reservoir engineer in Houston and a production engineer in the Delaware Basin near Pecos, Texas.
