Joel-lyn McCormick is a litigation Shareholder at GableGotwals, bringing more than two decades of courtroom, investigative, and leadership experience to complex, high-stakes litigation and government investigations. She advises clients on legal strategy, enforcement exposure, enterprise risk, and other complex legal matters.
Joel-lyn joins the Firm following a distinguished career in public service, including 17 years as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Oklahoma. She most recently served as Deputy Criminal Chief, advising senior leadership on high-risk matters involving significant institutional, regulatory, and reputational considerations, and leading investigations and prosecutions spanning white-collar crime, narcotics and violent crime, environmental enforcement, national security, and multi-defendant cases in close collaboration with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.
Before joining the U.S. Department of Justice, Joel-lyn served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Oklahoma, directing the Multi-County Grand Jury Unit and leading statewide investigations into white-collar crime, public corruption, and other complex criminal matters. She began her career as an Assistant District Attorney for Oklahoma County, prosecuting felony cases, including homicide and capital offenses, and serving as lead trial counsel in more than 60 jury trials.
Joel-lyn’s work has earned numerous honors, including two FBI Director’s Awards and recognition as the Northern District of Oklahoma Attorney of the Year.
