Ashlyn Smith is an Associate at GableGotwals, where his practice focuses on complex litigation in the energy, insurance, and manufacturing sectors, among others.
Ashlyn graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. While in law school, Ashlyn was a member of the Oklahoma Law Review and earned numerous honors, including highest grades in Oil and Gas, Environmental Law, and Advanced Persuasive Writing. Following graduation, Ashlyn scored in the top 3.5% on the Multistate Bar Exam.
Before law school, Ashlyn served as an officer in the United States Air Force. He continues to serve part-time in the Oklahoma Air National Guard and has deployed numerous times over the course of his 17-year military career, most recently as the commander of an expeditionary special operations squadron.
