Susan Jordan is Of Counsel in the Tulsa office of GableGotwals. She has devoted her legal practice to the representation of hospitals, physicians, nurses, and other health care providers in the areas of malpractice defense, risk management, litigation management, licensing, peer review, and credentialing. She has obtained numerous defense verdicts on behalf of physicians and hospital clients. Susan focuses on representing health care providers and hospitals in credentialing matters, hospital fair hearings, health care arbitration, state and federal audits, surveys and investigations, and representation before state licensing boards. She provides legal representation to physicians and practice groups in the areas of risk management, bylaws, policies, documentation, and compliance.
Susan is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, Texas Bar Association, Tulsa County Bar Association, American Health Lawyers Association, and the Texas Bar Foundation. She is an arbitrator on the American Health Lawyers Arbitration Panel and sits on the Oklahoma Board of Chiropractic Examiners. Susan is also Chairman of the Board of Directors at Stand in the Gap and has served as a volunteer at Tulsa Lawyers for Children, Reading Partners, and Global Gardens. She has also served as an annual speaker to the In His Image Family Medicine Residency program. Susan was also invited by Dr. Cao Khang of the University Medical Center in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam to lecture on hospital best practices, risk management, and medical malpractice in the US.
She was selected as a Texas Super Lawyer (2005-2012) and one of the Top 100 Attorneys in Dallas/Fort Worth in 2008. Susan is a frequent lecturer to hospitals, physician groups and health care entities in the areas of risk management, hospital operations, peer review, and credentialing. She was selected to the 2015 Nation’s Top One Percent by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel.
Susan earned her law degree with honors from Southern Methodist University School of Law and holds an undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Texas at Arlington.
