At The Podium: GableGotwals Attorneys Presenting in the Community

GableGotwals attorneys have been busy speaking to area and national organizations.  Some of the presentations include:

Jeff Curran spoke at the DRI Annual Meeting in Chicago to the DRI Product Liability Committee this fall on “We’re Not In Kansas Anymore: Trying Cases in Unfamiliar Jurisdictions”.

Brandon Bickle spoke at the Oklahoma Bankers Association’s Consumer Lending School about general bankruptcy matters in October.

Sid Swinson spoke in October at a seminar co-sponsored by the OBA Health Law and OBA Bankruptcy and Reorganization Sections, entitled:  “Developments in Rural Health Care That Every Practitioner Needs to Know.”

Lloyd Landreth was on a Vapor Intrusion Panel for the American College of Environmental Lawyers this past fall.

The GableGotwals Labor and Employment Practice Group presented a half-day seminar client seminar on “The Lifecycle of an Employee” in October.  Topics include the hiring process, employee/manager conflict, anti-retaliation and cybersecurity precautions. The group also presented the same topics at next week at the MAHRA Employment Law Conference to Muskogee area employers in addition to a special Supervisors Training session.

Chris Thrutchley and Lauren Oldham presented at a NBI national seminar on “HR Law: Recruiting and Hiring” this past fall.

Ellen Adams and Meagen Burrows gave a retaliation update webinar for employers in November.

In November and December Tom C. Vincent II presented a two-part series to the Tulsa County Bar Association on “How Attorneys Can Protect Themselves Against Cyber Insecurity” and “How to Respond to a Data Breach.”  Tom also presented to The University of Tulsa on career opportunities in cybersecurity law.  Tom will also be presenting during The University of Tulsa Law School practicum series “Managing Cybersecurity in Business Transactions”.
