Samuel P. Clancy
Samuel P. Clancy is an associate in the Tulsa office of GableGotwals, where his practice centers on counselling corporate and healthcare clients on a variety of transactional and operational matters.
Sam’s recent experience includes representing companies in asset sales and purchases, counselling clients on corporate governance matters, drafting and revising professional service agreements and employment agreements, advising businesses on employment law issues, and aligning policies and procedures with federal, state, and local laws and accreditation standards.
In the healthcare arena, Sam has counselled individual physicians and non-physician practitioners, healthcare practices, laboratories, long-term-care facilities, hospitals, and health systems on a variety of topics. These include medical staff, credentialing, and peer review matters, as well as compliance issues involving telehealth, HIPAA, patient rights, Stark law, Anti-Kickback statute, False Claims Act, Joint Commission requirements, and Conditions of Participation, among others.
Sam is active in the community, serving on the board of Mental Health Association Oklahoma and chairing its Legal Justice and Advocacy Committee. He is also an active volunteer for Legal Aid of Oklahoma.
While in law school, Sam competed in the National Moot Court Competition and was published by the Oklahoma Law Review, for which he served as Note and Comment Editor. He also was elected to the Order of the Scribes and the Order of the Solicitors, and he received American Jurisprudence Awards for Intermediate Legal Writing, Advanced Persuasive Writing, and Public Health Law. As an undergraduate, Sam was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and PE-ET (OU’s top honor society), and received the Letzeiser Award Bronze Medal and the Honors College Most Outstanding Senior Award.
