J. Wesley Pebsworth
Wes Pebsworth is a shareholder in the Tulsa office of GableGotwals where he advises clients regarding civil litigation in the areas of ERISA, FEGLIA, insurance law, and a variety of business matters. He represents clients in state, federal, and tribal courts at all stages in the litigation process, including at trial and on appeal. Wes also has experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in nationwide multi-district litigation matters. He is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Oklahoma, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, Cherokee Nation Court, and in North Dakota state courts.
His community activities include volunteering with the Hospitality House of Tulsa, where he currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and with Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma. In 2018, Wes was awarded the Jessie Cooper DuBois Servant Leadership Award for his service to the Hospitality House of Tulsa. He is also a member of Leadership Tulsa Class 53.
Wes received his J.D. with highest honors from The University of Tulsa College of Law, where he was a member of the Order of the Curule Chair and served as the Notes & Comments Editor of the Tulsa Law Review. He graduated summa cum laude from Oral Roberts University in 2003.
Before beginning his legal career, Wes spent six years working as a prevention educator and program manager with Operation Aware of Oklahoma. He has volunteered with the Big Brothers of Green Country, and has coached the Mock Trial Teams at local alternative high schools.
