Webinar: New Decisions and Pronouncements Affecting All Employers in Big Ways
In the last year or two, court decisions, federal agency pronouncements and, to a lesser extent, state law changes have combined to place several new obligations in the basket of employers while providing current and former employees with new weapons for their litigation arsenal. Some of the obligations have been, in fact, in place for years – the change is the enforcement is being stepped up. However, other changes are ones that could not be foreseen or predicted even a few years ago in the areas of religion, pregnancy, FLSA, and unpaid internships. Leslie L. (Lynch) Vincentand Chris Thrutchley, attorneys with GableGotwals, will discuss tangible steps employers can implement in order to reduce risk and ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
