Oliver S. Howard
Since Oliver’s admission into the Oklahoma Bar Association (OBA) in 1979, he has received numerous honors including being named as an Oklahoma Super Lawyer every year since 2005 including being named to Super Lawyer’s Top 50 list three times and Top 10 list once. He has been listed in Best Lawyers of America for over 16 years, including being named the 2009 Lawyer of the Year for Bet-the-Company Litigation in Tulsa and the 2012 Lawyer of the Year for Environmental Litigation in Tulsa.
Oliver is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, United States Tax Court, as well as all State and Federal Courts in Oklahoma. He has appeared pro hac vice in over twenty States.
Oliver has also been very involved in a variety of community organizations including Oklahoma Center for Community and Justice and Phillips Theological Seminary.

Complex utility, oil & gas, environmental and business litigations in Arizona, New Jersey, Texas and Oklahoma
In 2008 Mr. Howard obtained a mandatory injunction requiring the transfer of oil & gas properties valued at over $1 billion. The injunction was affirmed by the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals
In 2003, Mr. Howard successfully defended claims of breach of contract for $63 million in damages in Midland, Texas. The jury verdict was affirmed on appeal
In 1998 Mr. Howard participated as lead trial counsel on behalf of a class of natural gas royalty owners in a trial in Sebastian County, Arkansas in 1998. A jury verdict and judgment was obtained for the class in the amount of $109 million. That judgment was affirmed by the Arkansas Supreme Court in 2000
In 1996, Mr. Howard served as lead trial lawyer for a team, in a case arising from a failed merger between two energy companies, that obtained a jury verdict and judgment in the amount of $742 million, the largest judgment ever awarded in Oklahoma
