Ellen A. Adams

Ellen A. Adams’ practice primarily consists of prosecuting and defending corporate and individual clients in a wide variety of complex business litigation in state and federal courts.  Her representation has been focused on clients who are primarily in the energy industry in a wide variety of matters including environmental disputes, breach of contract, lease cancellation, and royalty disputes.  

While obtaining her juris doctorate, she participated in the Ruth Bader Ginsburg American Inn of Court and was awarded outstanding pupil of the year.  Ellen was a Comfort Scholar, and she received honors for her work as an Articles Development Editor on the American Indian Law Review and as an oralist in moot court competitions.

Ellen recently spoke at the Oklahoma Bar Association’s Second Annual Oil and Gas Law Seminar for the General Practitioner on matters pertaining to oil & gas lease preservation.

In addition to participating in a variety of professional organizations, Ellen has also been involved in several community organizations including the Down Syndrome Association of Central Oklahoma (DSACO).

Ellen's recent experience includes:

Assisted in obtaining summary judgment in favor of an environmental remediation company to recover the principal balance of a large collection debt owed since 2007

Assisted in defending an oil & gas company against any liability in a jury trial wherein plaintiff sought to recover actual and punitive damages on his tort claim

Successfully eliminated a nuisance claim through a motion for partial summary judgment in favor of a Fortune 500 oil & gas company.
